A subtly rounded solid wood bowl rests on a base of four chubby feet, emphasiaing the robustness of the design. Chub is crafted from FSC-certified ash and distinguished by four chubby feet placed at each corner in an almost monolithic manner. An elegantly curved bowl rests atop, adding a utilitarian element to the design, which presents itself as a decorative object and a functional bowl in equal measure.
Designer Sami Kallio elaborates: “The idea was to create something between a podium and a bowl. Sculptural enough to be its own centrepiece, but simple enough to let any contents shine”.
